The Shopper joins Girl Scouts in honoring Rowena Fullinwider

Rowena Fullinwider, founder and owner of Rowena's Desserts & Gifts and recipient of the Dorothy Barber Girl Scouts Lifetime Achievement Award, received a framed copy of a story about her, which appeared in The Shopper earlier this year. Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast's (GSCCC) Tracey Keller was also presented a framed story, which shared Rowena's long involvement with and love of the Girl Scouts. The Dorothy Barber Award honors a woman who has achieved great success in her personal and professional life, contributed to her community and to the GSCCC. Dorothy Barber is a past president of GSCCC and led A Place for Girls capital campaign in the 1990s.

Girl Scouts visiting for some late afternoon art activities at A Place for Girls made a special delivery of hand-crafted cards for Rowena, Chesapeake City Council Member Debbie Ritter and other guests.
